"Kelowna Film Studios exceeded our expectations for our shoot. The studio was professional and spacious, and the kitchen was comfortable and well-equipped. The hair and makeup room was a bonus, and the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. We had a great experience and highly recommend Kelowna Film Studios."

Back of House Features
2000 Square Foot Soundstage
Cleaner takes, fewer sound interruptions. The soundstage was created with double-wall soundproofing, air gap, steel studs, Roxul insulation, and 5/8” drywall. Donnaconna soundboard helps to further reduce sound reflection. 14’ to the lighting grid, 17’ to the trusses, 20’ to the ceiling.
3-Phase Power
Supplies high levels of consistent power, which supports heavy electrical use from lots of gear—without fluctuations affecting your lighting.
Fixed Lighting Grid
Reduce your need for extension cords and declutter your set. A professionally engineered lighting grid services the entire soundstage. At 14’ high, the grid is made from industry standard 1 ½” pipe, has an outlet at every joint (every 8’) and provides 50 amps of power.
“The Octo” Mobile Power Unit
Skip the setup. With 4 HDMI, 4 SDI and 2 XLR inputs, your video village is already ready to go (and behind the sound wall). Keep an eye on the action and keep the conversation going.
3000 Square Foot Backlot
With plenty of space for the circus, the backlot can fit multiple large trucks and even the largest trailers.
Drive-in Studio
The drive-in studio features a 14’ bay door directly into the soundstage from the backlot. Incorporate vehicles and large props into your shoot, and make hauling gear in and out faster and easier.
Additional Back of House Features
Wireless Red-Light System / HVAC Control
Avoid accidental interruptions. With red lights mounted on every door to the soundstage, everyone on site will know when the cameras are rolling. Turning on the red-light system also conveniently turns off the HVAC system for even cleaner sound. Controlled wirelessly with a pocket size remote.
Wireless Locks and Security
Entryway doors are controlled wirelessly with a passcode sent to your mobile device. All crew members will have access, and the automatically locking doors provide extra security for your set. High barbed wire fencing surrounds the complex and the gates are locked nightly.
Alleyway
The alleyway directly outside the soundstage is a convenient place for a smoke pit or for creating an exterior set with barbed wire fencing.
Free Parking
In addition to the backlot, KFS has 3 designated parking stalls directly in front of the studio. There are also 25+ free, unmetered street parking spaces.
