WHY KELOWNA
FILM STUDIOS?

Increase your efficiency, productivity and quality—while saving your project time and money.  Our fully-equipped studio will reduce your setup time and costs and lessen your need for extra tents and trailers.  Kelowna Film Studios was purpose built from the studs up with the needs of filmmakers as the highest priority.  Our extensive features were carefully planned and executed to make your filming experience as efficient, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Accessible for all budgets

Kelowna Film Studios was created to be accessible to filmmakers of all levels.  Because our costs are lower than comparable studios in larger city centres such as Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton, our rates can be lower—and we’ve got availability sooner.

Our à la carte pricing also provides flexible cost options for smaller productions, so you only pay for what you need—and nothing you don’t. [link to rates info or contact info]

Excellent production value

Four hours from Vancouver and eight hours from Calgary, the city of Kelowna is nestled in the heart of the spectacular Okanagan Valley.  With less demand than major production centres and yet so much to offer, the Okanagan provides incredible production value.

A long-time vacation hotspot for Canadians and international visitors alike, this beautiful city has been drawing increasing attention from the film community because of the wide variety of locations, attractive funding incentives, and experienced local crew members.

The Okanagan Valley features abundant unique locations for filming.  Some of its zones even resemble well known international hotspots—the lush rolling vineyards of wine country are comparable to Napa, Sonoma and even Italy.

The valley is incredibly diverse and features spectacular alpine landscapes (with and without snow) as well as dry desert-like locations.  Don’t forget the sand and sun of 100 mile-long Okanagan Lake or the stunning turquoise waters of Kalamalka.  The possibilities are endless.
